In response the the single negative comment; I felt justified in posting this as there is mental illness in my own family - and, as most of you know, I have my own psychological problems...

If you don't attempt to see the lighter side of life, Real Life will grind you down.....

Hi My Dear...

I emailed these to my brother "The Shrink" but he hasn't respoded yet! I know he will think they are funny!

Being mentally ill or knowing someone mentally ill is no excuse for making fun of mentally ill people.

This is a time of year when most people with such problems are at their most vulnerable - reading "lol look at the schizo" really doesn't help.

Real life will grind me down whether you laugh at me or not.

I don't usually post anonymously btw, perhaps you can understand why I chose to do so here.

'Real life will grind me down whether you laugh at me or not.'

I am confused - how can I 'laugh at you' when I have no idea who you are?

And, as has been said on many blogs - this is my blog. If you don't like what I post, it is your choice to go elsewhere.

I normally do like what you post!

Given what you've said in the past about coping with depression I was genuinely shocked and surprised that you of all people would post such a callous dismissal of so many people with such huge problems.

I appreciate that you clearly only want positive responses to anything you post so I'll refrain from commenting again, it's probably bad for my health to get into this anyway.
