More Decisions

Blimey, I am on a roll with these decision thingies......
I have decided to have another go at this:
National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.
Because of the limited writing window, the ONLY thing that matters in NaNoWriMo is output. It's all about quantity, not quality. The kamikaze approach forces you to lower your expectations, take risks, and write on the fly.

And I have the perfect subject! No more fantasy for me (although I did enjoy my foray into demons the other year!), this year I am going for biographical - there's a challenge......

I realised that I never set a caption competition this week. Well, I am going to design my own nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) icon for my blog - and I need a slogan (a short, memorable advertising phrase: Examples include "Coke Is It," "Just Do It," and "Don’t Leave Home Without It.") for it.

So come on, you bright clever people, let me have your suggestions!

The last Palace caption competition was incredibly difficult to judge, so everyone is a winner - check it out here.

WOW! THAT is a daunting task...! You are one brave woman to set this task for yourself...I think you are smart to make it biographical----Auto or Otherwise...
I will be very interested to see how you do. NOVEMBER is going to be a Heavy Duty Month...LOL!
MUCH GOOD LUCK, My Dear.

cq. go for it. I did it the last two years and itv was a lot of fun. Actually, last years 'novel' is still awaiting serious repir, so I may duck out this time around. Both times I did over the 50k and its fun to have others around to 'goad' on on.

Something about medieval times would be good. with palaces. and maybe a crazy queen...?

Well, I hope that you have an interesting topic to write about, and that the words keep flowing...

I will have to go and have a look for the site and see more of what it is about too!!

Here from Michele's this evening...

How about, "The Pen is mightier than the ... uh ... Other Pen!" Okay, it's lame, but it's a start! Good luck, and thanks for the alert to NaNoWriMo...maybe I'll give it a try. Bilbo

'Come and join us'
I'd love to but top of my list is to start to edit my story - let alone finish it - before I keel over.
You were Carmi and then changed to CQ so obviously I'm here from Michele's. Good luck with the novel!

"Telling it like it is."

"Writing it like it is"

or how about just shortening it to.....

"Like it is"

Bon chance.......it sounds like a great adventure.

Michele sent me after your dins. Hope it was tasty.

Not only have I participated in NaNo for four years straight, "winning" each time, but for the past three years I've been a Municipal Liaison for my region. So I say GO FOR IT, you can do this.

As for a slogan?
I Ink, Therefore I Am.

I have absolutely NO idea for any captions right now lol. My brains is fried after yesterdays "No smoking for a year" celebrations (which are blogged btw)

However, I think you are one BRAVE lady. I'll definitely be popping by to see how you do :)

Not long till your one year mark now either!!
