Christmas at the Palace

Christmas is over and we're pooped..........
Yup, absolutely...um......cool, you can see my tummy!
I have been practising on my beautiful new purple bicycle - it's all coming back...slowly....
And my new little friend Mac gained a new teddy bear pal - I'm toying with the name Marmaduke...too much for a little bear, d'ya think?
And the $64M question: Did the tree survive?
Yup :-)
Mind you, MB tested my patience by spilling red wine twice, including on my irreplaceable Bangladeshi Christmas table runner. Luckily it all came out with lengthy soaking and washing.
About two weeks before Christmas I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome (hence the downturn in blogging), so I have catered this Christmas with a wrist brace - makes the simplest tasks impossible by forcing the wrist into the correct position to relieve the pressure on the median nerve. Lucky there was only the two of us :-)

MERRY Christmas CQ. Glad that (though amazed) the tree survived. Maybe Charlie is becoming.... mature?

Sounds lovely and low-key (except for the wrist brace). The bike looks luscious - I haven't ridden one in years but had a dream a few weeks ago of riding one. Where I live now is a very popular bicycling area, so who knows....? Hello from Michele's!

Hon, thank you thank you thank you for Shanti! She has the top honor of sitting on my pillows!

Unlike your tree, mine didn't survive! All the tinsel was pulled gleefully off the bottom, followed in short order by all the baubles that Adina could reach. So last night, I took it all down and packed it away for another year.

As for Adina's eye, the one cleared up, but now the infection is in her other eye. Ugh!

Keeping my fingers crossed for good news for Pandora.

They all look worn out.

Our tree survived, but the lights on it did not. They have failed to work from Christmas morning onwards.

The tree is lovely and long lived. The pooped pets are so adorable. Looks like a Merry Christmas was had by all. Michele sent me. This is a great place to visit.

Thanks for the visit, CQ. I love your sleeping kitties and I'm sorry to hear that you have carpal tunnel syndrome. Will you have the surgery for it? I know a few people who did, and it was successful for them.

I think Marmaduke is a perfect name for the little bear :)

So, has the bear accepted Marmaduke as his name? :) I'm sure he'd bear enough to handle it!

Michele thinks so too :)

Hope you are having a good time Hon!

The purple bike is great! My favorite color...Oh, I see Charlie...he's a big ham isn't he??? How many tummy rubs did that pose elicit?
