You all wanted to see pictures of the adolescent wild swan eating from my hand......full story here. Swannie is a young swan who has become very attached to his little pond and refuses to, or can't, move out.
Here he is - meet Swannie...our young friend. See his two tone plumage? Swannie is on the verge of adulthood and that beautiful white plumage is coming through. When I call him, he comes rushing over, clattering his bill as if saying 'Where have you been?'
He gently takes bread from B's hand.....hungry boy - well, I think he's a boy!
..and then eats from my hand - newly dressed in a wrist brace! He even playfully nipped at my fingers several times.
A couple more days and if Swannie hasn't made a move, we'll bring in the swan experts to remove him and take him to a safe home.

Totally Totally Dear...! I love these pictures....He is so beautiful and will be een more-so when all his white plummage comes in....I am unclear why he cannot stay there....I guess I should go back and read the previous post again.....Thanks for this, my dear....And being the Greedy person I am..I want MORE Pictures! LOL!
Oohhhh he is GORGEOUS!! This post and these photos totally made my day - Almost as much as the parcel that arrived on my doorstep this morning ... all the way from the UK.
My many thanks to Mac for his adorable friend, who, although is now devoid of her brown parcel paper, is still wrapped in her Christmas Paper. I've vowed to not unwrap her till Christmas Day, though I'm very sorely tempted to LOL.
Thank you thank you thank you!!
Dear Crazie Queen..
It seems that God has given both of you..Minerva and you a miracle this last week and how kind you are to share the miracle with all of us, your invisible friends!
This lovely creature looks almost silver in color.I am sure that a picture of him will do you just fine in your palace!
Isn't the place that he is in safe?
I just hope that you will be able to see him again and that they don't take him too far away!
