11th day of the 11th month
Do not stand at my grave and weep,I am not there, I do not sleep.I am in a thousand winds that blow,I am the softly falling snow.I am the gentle showers of rain,I am the fields of ripening grain.I am in the morning hush,I am in the graceful rushOf beautiful birds in circling flight,I am the starshine of the night.I am in the flowers that bloom,I am in a quiet room.I am in the birds that sing,I am in each lovely thing.Do not stand at my grave and cry,I am not there. I do not die.cq

We shall remember them. To commemorate Remembrance Day I wrote 'Sarah's secret' which is broadcast on Storytellers Blog on my sidebar. Do have a listen -it's three and a half minutes. Michele says have a good week-end
Hi from me and Michele, CQ! :) I love the purple here...it's a very welcoming spot :)
Yes, I've just seen the Armistice ceremony on BBC.
Michele sent me.
Thanks for reminding me of the importance of this day. I'm afraid it's overshadowed by Veteran's Day sales and a general lack of interest by just about everybody.
Today I will give thanks for the brave people who put their lives on the line so that others could enjoy freedom.
CQ: thank you for the reminder of this.
I miss the fact that Rememberance Day is not taken seriously on this side of the ocean.
Michele sent me,

You suddenly changed from Leigh so I'm here yet again. As ever the ceremony at the cenotaph was very moving and I marvel at the way the Queen and Phillip can stand so long at their age. There is a play 'My son Jack' the tragic story of Rudyard Kipling's son on TV tonight which I shall try to watch. Her from Michele's.
What a gorgeous, moving poem...like everyone else, thanks for the reminder.
That is very beautiful. It reinforces that the soul never dies. It lives on, no matter what..
Michele sent me. So I am here in a sombre mood..

A beautiful and heartfelt poem, CQ.
I Believe that with all my heart!
They are remembered here and with gratitude in my heart.
Michele says hi.
I love this poem, so much....
It is just incredibly beautiful CQ, and perfect for todays "Rememberence", or here what is now called Veterans Day...(I liked it better when it was Armastice Day....but Rememberence Day is a Beautiful name...I think it means more...Of course, I didn't get a vote....lol)
I love the idea, too, of The Eleventh Month at The Eleventh Day, at The Eleventh Hour...It gives this day a weight that it so deserves, as does that very beautiful poem does, too....It is all very touching.
Love your NEW Profile picture....I think I have that bear among my many....He looks so soft and cuddly....And perfect!
Was just over at Ribbits place..Such a sweet tribute to you and a Perfect Word and a Perfect Picture! Bravo, my dear Queen.
Guess who sent me back to you, one more time! YES! You Guessed it! MICHWLE! She says HI and so do I my dear pal....
Hope you are feeling better than you were.....
Gee, I think this is about me. I don't die, either. Well, maybe sort of, but doesn't reincarnation (which I plan to do) count?
I'm here from Michele's. Howdy.
I love this poem, and I had it on my blog for the tribute I did to my Grandfather.
Rememberence Day here too today, and we've had a whole parade going on in downtown Vancouver to pay tribute to those who lost their lives and the ones still living for their contributions and sacrifices so that we can all live in a free country.
Vancouver became completely still and silent for 2 minutes as a mark of respect. I would have been at the Parade had it not been for the fact that I'm ill.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL words!!!!!!!!!!
Love your blog!
Hello, Michele sent me. AND I will be back!
