16 Days of Christmas - 14th Day

(the 16 days refer to my long holiday leave)

On the 14th day of Christmas,
my chores list sent to me...
an unexpected invitation
and time with a friend.

I have a friend.
Well, being a Crazie I have a gang of Crazie friends, but I have one which is not in the gang.
Today I got a surprise phone call from the Kat to have lunch with her and browse through our favourite local garden centre (which is SO much more than just a garden centre!).

Bobkat is my beloved 'galpal' (to quote Rachel from our fave TV show Friends) and I treasure every moment spent with her.
She was my boss originally and we worked so well together. She gave me the strength of my convictions and enabled me to get myself promoted and move on to bigger and better things. After we moved apart, a deep friendship grew.

Bob is a fab woman and I truly love her. She accepts me - many warts and all - and makes the world so much a better place.

A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths;
Feels your fears but fortifies your faith;
Sees your anxieties but frees your spirit;
Recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities.

i too am a Kat lover,
following the excitement of the misadventures of Hector the lump, and praying for health and healing.

So nice to see you at Net Chicks place

I get that. Someone once said that if you die with just a handful of true friends, you are blessed.

It sounds as though you are indeed blessed, and knowing what i do of BK, I am not surprised.

Happy New Year, CQ.

Tanya sent me.
