I would love to be able to gush over the Oscars.
It would be nice to remember my favourite scenes from all the films.
I would have loved to have stayed up all night to hear all those wonderful speeches of thanks.
But the only films I saw that won were Happy Feet (Best Animation) and Pirates (Best Visual Effects).
Congratulations to Helen Mirren on her win for The Queen.
And well done to the man from South Central, Forest Whitaker, on his big win!

I saw "The Queen" on a flight to California and I was really pleased that Helen Miren won. But I have been a fan of her stuff for a long time. Unfortuanately that was the only movie I saw from the lineup. I'm slipping!!
I have not watched any of the films except the Pirates... of course!
Congrats to Dame Helen

Two well-deserved wins with Helen Mirren & Forest Whittaker.
Pirates is the only one I've seen too:-( Although a number of the others are on my "to watch" list!
I loved Helen Mirren as The Queen! I saw this one and Little Miss Sunshine flying back from Chile.
I love your comments here...LOL!
I did very much enjoy The Oscars and am posting about it as you know, my dear....
I thought Helen Mirren was fabulous in The Queen....A well deserved win, for sure!
I had only seen the Queen and Pirates. Both great films.

It was nice to see British representation at the Oscars! Thos are the only two films I saw as well. The animation in Happy Feet defintely deserved that Oscar but funnily enough I didn't like it as a film!
I saw & enjoyed Pirates. Johnny Depp reminded me a bit of Charlie Chaplin.
I am visiting from the audition at Wendy's.
I've right lost my love for the Oscars. So many times good films are overlooked. I was happy, however, that Scorsese finally broke his jinx. I was upset that Borat didn't get as many nods though. It stands for where the medium should go, but it will take Hollywood ages to catch up.
Still trying to convince Dawn to see either of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Maybe your influence can help.
Cheers.
I saw Borat.
