Another Busy Weekend....

You know, since I started this Living History thing - my life just isn't mine any more......and it's fab!
This morning it's a flurry of laundry, tidying and making bread (by hand, of course) before heading off to the
Aginoths' again for my second archery lesson this afternoon.
My bruises are nearly healed and I have been told in no uncertain terms to use a bracer!! Also, I nicked
Cyberkitten's dumbbells and have been exercising my triceps all week........

I also got a cancellation place for the renactment trip to Italy in three weeks' time - so now I'm stressing out about that! :-)

Tomorrow it's the usual Sunday stuff with a visit to the cinema thrown in. RCA is coming to town (yippee!! - we hardly see her now she's toddled off to London to live with her darling K!) so the gang is heading out to see.......er, sorry - what are we seeing, guys??

I went out with my much loved Bobkat this week just gone. A magical evening of chat and pizza, only marred by the..........um........truly AWFUL film we actually chose to see!! Trust me, people, Blades of Glory is possible one of the worst films I have ever seen.....never, ever trust the combination of Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller (unless you're only ten, of course!).
We have agreed - if we walk into another theatre and the audience is predominantly male and in their late teens/twenties - we are asking for a refund!!

But, on the plus side, we did see trailers for a couple of good films in the future.......including Simpsons and Pirates (how eclectic are we!?!)

Nearly time to get my bread out of the airing cupboard......

Thank goodness someone else in this world thought Blades of Glory was easily ranked amongst the worst films ever. It has been the top grossing film for several weeks now, and I was beginning to think I was insane. No wonder the films now are so bad. Look what makes money. Pure drivel. Frankly, I think television has far surpassed the movies in quality these days, especially HBO.

Here from Michele's!

I agree. Those two actors are not who I would want to see in any film.

You are becoming the Master Bread Maker...Don't I wish you could magically send some to me, right out of the oven and still warm...Wouldn't that be fantastic?
And an expert Archer, too! I'm impressed with your dedication.

That movie sounds ghastly utterly ghastly! How did you happen to pick it? LOL!

I have seen B of G (or any other movie for that matter lately), but I have heard only rave reviews about it. Of course, those came from people that are predominantly male and in their late teens/twenties!

Michele semt me this morning,

The only thing worse than seeing a really bad Will Ferrell movie in a theatre is seeing it on an airplane. There's no escape when you're in a tube 7 miles above the earth :)

I got tired just reading about your week. Smiley-tired, of course. Your adventures through life prove to me that we need to live and not just survive.

Hope your bruises are healing quickly, my friend. Can't wait to hear more about the Italy trip. I leave for Shanghai a week tomorrow, and I'm nervous as heck!

I took Archery in scout camp years ago, and I've only just healed from the bruises.....LOL

Michele sent me to say, Lucky you......having dinner with Bob-kat! Sorry about the movie, but I am glad you toldme. I won't even rent the DVD when it comes out.

Archery? How cool is that? I'd love to really work at archery or something equally off-the-beaten-path. Fencing. Gazorches.

Here from Michele's; I think I'm the only one up this morning!

you are so fortunate to have such a rich ans varied life, in INDIA they say namaste, which means something spiritual.
I say: diggereedoo! which means the crazy person in me recognizes and salutes the crazy in you!

oh and please quit showing off your underwear on the blog, you have caused a crush of internet traffic to rush to that side of the globe, causing 'global tilting.' Soon Al Gore will have to make another disaster of a movie, and we don't want that, do we???
