Crazie Soapbox

There is a recurring and poisonous news item that is splashed across all the newspapers and is even finding it's way into legitimate news programmes.

Forget the atrocious weather, the rising cost of living, war and strife around the world, death and destruction........

There is a farce of an 'inquest' being held to decide if the death of the former Princess of Wales was an accident or an assassination.
This 'inquest' seems to be an excuse to tell all her secrets, to lay open her humanly fault-filled life for everyone to gloat over.

I had no great admiration for Princess of Wales, but she was a woman, a wife and a mother. She was wronged and she wronged in her own turn.

This court case can't hurt her now, except her already damaged reputation. But she has children, two sons, who, no matter their 'right' of birth, should not hear of their mother being pulled apart by a pack of self-seeking, attention-hungry dishonourable money-grubbing pieces of crap.

Sometimes I am ashamed to be British - or even human, to be honest.

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.....

Not again, please! I rather loved the Princess of Wales myself. Nobody walks on water but her life--to be fair--was so blown out of proportion, and I must say she handled it better than the tarts we have to watch every single night here in the US on nightly television. No names are necessary. But I too wish they'd drop this foolishness. It is highly disrespectful.

Very well said.
It's not only there, its every where, where there are greedy people.

Excellent post, cq! This is the sad price we pay for having an aggressive free press supporting a voracious 24-hour media circus. Diana is beyond caring, but I feel badly for Harry and William, who have to put up with all this in an appropriately royal fashion. Sometimes I think Shakespeare had it wrong...first, let's kill all the reporters. The lawyers can come later.

It's about time this was laid to rest. Fayed is the one who keeps raking it up.

Here, Here! (Or us it HEAR HEAR?)...The point is I so agree with you my dear.....It is pretty horrible here, too....I don't understand how reliable respected NEWS Organizations have gotten so caught up in what used to be called "Yellow Journalism"...It is appalling, beyond words! It is like the book and the film, DAY OF THE LOCUSTS by Nathaniel West....They literally attempt to pull someone apart in their zealousness to "get" whatever....! And it is just sickening how soulless these people truly are...No respect for ANYTHING or ANYONE! And certainly no heart!

And if you want to have yiur spirits lifted a bit with a Feline Story...come on by...Guess Who and his Food Dishes, are Featured? Yup! "The Mister"...ALSO, I have taken a really funny dear Video of him which I will be posting very very soon....I'll let you know!

It is absolutely disgusting. On top of that there is real news out there which is taking a back seat to this circus.
