Thank You, Heath

You are missed already, our young flame. May your spirit find peace.

This routine was playing in my head as I listened to the shocking news this morning....

And this will always, I think, be one of my all-time favourite films.

Sleep well, Sir William.

- and thank you

CQ: I did not know who this young man was, but I am so very saddened for he and his family. This is such a shocking tragedy. I am certain it has caused many people to hurt deeply.

Whenever someone leaves so young, I often think about the work yet to be done, the volume of artistic output that will now be denied the world.

I'm torn between thinking that we and he have all been deprived of what could be, of such potential - and the feeling that we all have a preordained fate. Either way, it's tragic on so many levels, and I pray he and his family will find peace.

It will be nice when the press stops trying to make this story scandalous. It appears, so far, to be a tragic accident. But that doesn't sell papers, does it.

I just hope they leave his little girl alone. Poor thing is likely not to remember him at all when she grows up. Thankfully she will have his body of work to see what a beautiful soul he was.
