Cures.....and.....meat!

Woohoo!! Will you look at this wonderful news from Minerva.......

"It is good news. My CT scan is completely clear apart from the lymph node. The doctors are also going all out to 'cure' me. Never has such a word fallen with such import as it did at lunchtime. I LIKE the 'cure' word, I revel in the 'cure' word. In fact, I snuggled down into the 'cure' word and virtually missed the rest of the conversation."

What a star that girl is......!!

(original detail deleted as it seemed insignificant besides Minerva's amazing news......)

Fellow Fodderer Rob asked on my latest blog fodder if I was tempted to eat meat when I smell bacon cooking. Like most veggies, bacon is the real temptation to break the principle. But I am not tempted by the smell of cooking meat, because it is still animals. As I have to cook meat daily for MB, I am immune to the desire to eat it.
Luckily, I don't have to handle the meat much, just unwrap it and throw it in a pan!

You and me both! My left knee is not at all good, but not as bad as yours. My advice - leave the laundry and rest your knees. Blog and watch a good film instead :-)

Hello from Michele!

Dang Knee's always betraying us. Mine right one like to give me trouble if I don't work it out enough. the problem is my left Knee is lazy and hurt if I work out too much. At least I am only at Asprin for my pain.

Hope the drugs help :)

Aww, get well soon CQ - I was hit by a car years ago and my left knee still plays up. I don't know Minerva but the news 'it's clear' is great for anyone and best of luck to her.

How long have you been a veggie for?

What a thrill about Minerva. After reading your entry, I ducked out and dropped her a quick comment before flitting back here. I couldn't wait.

You're a good soul for sharing, and for being so endlessly supportive.

I will go over right after saying hello to you, cq. I am not vegetarian but I very seldom eat meat just because I feel better if I don't. Hi, dear!!!

AHA! I came back to try again and this time it worked! Minerva's news is indeed excellent and we're all happy to hear it.

I don't think I could give up meat, esp. bacon, although I try to limit it to 1 pc. week. I admire you for it, though, and I hope you are getting enough protein in your diet.

greetings from michele....

as a meat eatter, bacon is my weakness. for some reason when i eat it i get an upset tummy. my weakness is the smell of raosting turkey. i dont even like turkey so much, but the smell of it roasting away in the oven makes the entire house smell edible.

Thanks for the Minerva update - good news indeed! I'm just gonna go ahead and say Michele sent me. She didn't, but she's bound to sooner or later!
