Poorly Blogger

I have been poorly.

Real throwing everything up poorly.

I woke up yesterday with a bad tummy and then spent all day sipping water and periodically emptying my stomach. Add a temperature and no food, and I was ill!

It's 5am now and I am awake. I am horribly thirsty and incredibly hungry [sips plain water]. The temperature is still kicking around (prickly skin) and my kidneys are starting to wonder why they have been made redundant.

But with my stomach still doing somersaults, I'm thinking it wouldn't be wise to fill it just yet.

5am - what a bitch........

Update:
7am - went to work, because I had two meetings first thing. Then struggled with some basic errands.

1pm - left work in quite a bit of pain. My stomach was strained and very painful. and I've even pulled muscles in my back. One of my bosses said I did look rather white.

6pm - first meal in 48 hours. Just plain mashed potato with basted sprout and onion and a bit of gravy to stop it getting too dry. Nothing too much of a challenge, no complicated proteins. Let's see how that stays down.

I really HATE being sick.....

Oh Dear, poor CQ. That sounds exactly like I was just before Christmas. Have you got the crippling tummy cramps too? If so then it might be gastric flu as that is apparently what I had and had been doing the rounds.

We need a proper cold spell to kill off the bugs!

Wrap up warm, rest, if you haven't been sick for a couple of hours then try something small and very plain and keep sipping the water. Get well soon hon [big hug - but not squeezing too hard. Just in case].

Ugh, I feel for you hon. Maybe try a bit of plain toast or some rich tea biscuits, they're plain. rest and remember to keep your fluid intake up so you don't get too dehydrated.

Aw hon :-( I hate being sick too. Hate it. There is this gastric flu bug thing going round...they say it's a 48 hour thing - hopefully you'll be feeling better soon...

Sorry to hear you've been so poorly. I hope you're back to normal soon and for goodness sakes don't be going to work! And don't feel guilty - they should be thankful when you don't bring germs in to work, even if there is an important meeting. Take care. *sympathy*

You poor dear...gingerale will help but let it go flat first.

Ginger is good for nausea and vomitting. Pepperment is good too...maybe some peppermint tea would help.

Ewwww that doesn't sound like any fun at all! I too hate being sick CQ, especially Tummy-Sick, so I empathize with you my dear...!
I have not been feeling Tip Top myself....more Viral I think....UGH! But feeling lousy is a drag!
