Twisted Meet and Greet

It's the weekend and it's time for Michele's Meet and Greet.

But a certain someone has been preying on my mind for the last couple of days.

A much-admired blogfriend, Minerva, has been diagnosed with secondary cancer. She has battled cancer three times and this diagnosis is a body blow for her. She has glimpsed her future and it is bleak.

Once you've left your mark here go visit her, even if you've been before (multiple visits are not a bad thing!), leave her your comments, strength, love, prayers, jokes - anything you can think of to say 'I Was Here'.

Hello cq, I will indeed visit your friend. I'm here today via Michele's although there seemed to be a few technical glitches this morning.

Best,
rashbre

A blogfriend of mine recently passed away from cancer. The more people you know, the more it hurts when they are gone.

CQ, I have been reading Minerva's blog since well before she had the first battle with cancer. This news was a shock to me, too. I will go back and see her again, and thanks for being so supportive of her.

That makes me so sad. I have been praying for Minerva for months and months. Hoping for a miracle. Dammit. That's all I can say is dammit.

Hugs to you, cq. Michele sent me.

CQ, I have been reading Minerva's blog for a long time, and followed her ups and downs as well.

A work colleague passed away from cancer last Tueday aged 56. Many of us will be going to his funeral on Friday 12th.

I just came from Minerva's. I posted the same thought on my blog today- go visit Minerva, say hello, send thoughts to let her know we're thinking of her. It's a horrible, horrible disease, and it's what I fight every day for- a future free of cancer.

Well I thought I'd say hi honey - as another long time reader and poster on Minerva's blog (you might even remember Minerva's Cheerleaders [blush]!). I've often seen your name and thought how wonderful that you were supporting her by doing that run etc...

I am gutted for her at the moment. Just gutted. She is one brave lady, who has been through a great deal - quite a lot more in fact than she posts about. She has taught me a lot in her writing, in her outlook, and been there for me when I was going through a hell of my own. And despite everything, I do think she can win this. Eventually, somehow, she can...
