[waits for doorbell to ring]

Aginoth said...

Lo, I'm here but I may need to go sleep in the corner...absolutely knackered today.

Mrs.A is busy sewing

craziequeen said...

It was a long day.....but such fun!

Would you like a drink?

Walt!

What can my valet bring you?

[waves at Mrs A sitting in the corner of the drawing room]

singaporegrrl said...

Kerry, Mom of Princess Mia (Mamma Mia) here. Nice to finally meet you.

CyberKitten said...

Do you have *any* idea how difficult it is to get Ork blood out of fabric... Sorry I'm a bit late... Oh, and that isn't my colone... it's cordite... I think it might catch on... it smells of... victory... and Bonfire Night... [grin]

Oh, evening BTW....

craziequeen said...

Hello Kerry! How lovely you could come.....

and how is the little Princess?

Please let Walt take your coat and Clara will serve you some champagne..

craziequeen said...

cyberkitten! You look so smart...

I didn't hear the bus pull up :-)

something with vodka for you, dear?

CyberKitten said...

Vodka straight please.... a large one..?

singaporegrrl said...

Thank you, darling, Princess is at home tormenting her human father as he's just come home from work. I'd love a glass, thank you.

Aginoth said...

Apfel Korn and Lemonade for me, Blackcurrant Absolut Vodka for Mrs.A :o)

Must remember to use a lighter ball next time we go bowling, my arthritis is not happy atm...need alcohol to dull it

CyberKitten said...

Well... I DID hide the heavy balls... you brought them back..

craziequeen said...

Aginoth, Cyberkitten; this is Kerry, mom to the demanding Princess Mia - who gives Pandora a run for her money.

And that lovely lady stitching madly in the corner is Mrs A, Kerry!

CyberKitten said...

Hey Kerry.........

Aginoth said...

soon moved down from a 12lb to a 10lb, if I could have found an 8lb with large finger holes I would have used it :)

craziequeen said...

Apfel Korn and Lemonade and Blackcurrant Absolut Vodka for the young couple,

Large vodka for the gentleman, and a champagne for the lady

Walt

singaporegrrl said...

Hello all {waves}

craziequeen said...

[trilling laugh]

Kerry, we were bowling today - us Brits are still getting used to the idea :-)

CyberKitten said...

The medium & large holes are always in short supply....

CyberKitten said...

Oh, thanks for the drink... [quaffs in one]

That's better.........

Aginoth said...

Sorry Kerry being rude...how are you?

singaporegrrl said...

I haven't been bowling in ages. I was quite useless then, but always enthusiastic, as you have to be, you know.

craziequeen said...

Clara, please circulate with a tray or two.....

some hors d'oeuvre? Those I think are salmon, those are lamb and I think Clara has a secret stash of veggie ones, ck!

CyberKitten said...

It looks so simple doesn't it Kerry... but if it *was* simple we'd all be good at it...

singaporegrrl said...

I'm doing well, thank you {sips champagne}. Decided to slip out from the office to visit for a bit before heading home for the day.

craziequeen said...

I'm definitely in the useless but enthusiastic bracket....in fact ck and I were just saying that we should make it a regular thing!

[calls over] Mrs A? More drinks, dear?

singaporegrrl said...

hmmm, I'd love some salmon, mmmm...is that eggplant?

Dave said...

Sorry I'm late (although only fashionably so), I'd love a gin and tonic - I thought that you'd never ask.

Aginoth said...

Watching Greys anatomy with one eye, reading laptop screen with the other

Dave said...

Mr A, serious 'B' list celebrity that you are, how the devil are you old chap?

craziequeen said...

Walt, a drink for dave, please!

So, dave - do you indulge in ten pin bowling?

[nibbles at small sandwich]

singaporegrrl said...

Alls I remember is I would *always* break a nail. But I enjoyed it regardless. Your home is fabulous CQ.

Dave said...

Where's Mrs A, is she answering my e mail?

craziequeen said...

Kerry - of course! eggplant is SO now, don't you think?

[empties vodka]

[indicates another round to Walt]

Dave said...

Ten pin bowling, what at parties, not usually (best score 136).

craziequeen said...

Thanks, Kerry. Of course, we had to steal a few ideas - why keep all the good stuff in the stately homes.....

But it's so hard to keep up....

Aginoth said...

Hi Dave, have you had a reply to your email of support for us to Sedgemoor council....

craziequeen said...

[looks at Aginoth and ck]

[sniggers]

136.......

Barbara said...

Good Evening Your Royal Highness! I see we both have worn red tonight. What good taste you have. The place looks mah-velous. I'm stopping in quick to drop off this wine from the Finger Lakes region of NY. I'll be back later, little matter to clear up. Ta-ta darling.

CyberKitten said...

[snaggs passing veggie samosa]

So what exactly *are* eggplants...?

craziequeen said...

Barbara!! How lovely [passes bottle to Walt]

we'll crack it open when you return :-)

CyberKitten said...

Oh, I can get 120 on a good day...

singaporegrrl said...

I *love* eggplant, {reaches over and snatches up a handful of eggplant hor d'oeuvres}

keda said...

Darling. sorry a bit late... just cant walk in these shoes! LOve what you've done with the place.

Dave said...

Mr A, thanks but I replied to that and I had a question pertinent to the party in the reply!

craziequeen said...

aubergine, ck.......[sniggers] vegetables!

craziequeen said...

keda!! How are the girls! Let Clara get you a drink, what would you like?

singaporegrrl said...

eggplants = aubergines = delish tongue dancing delight

CyberKitten said...

Not too sure about this vegatable lark... Just because I'm a veggie.... [grin].

Dave said...

That G & T was splendid, could I perhaps try a pint of your very best bitter now?

craziequeen said...

Just look at those boys talking shop in the corner.....

Walt! I said put the music on!

[grins]

craziequeen said...

Hello, I am SO sorry to be late but I had a problem with my transportation. I am happy to be here at last and to meet you. Dahling, you have a beautiful home and you look divine. You may not believe this but I almost wore that same dress but changed my mind at the last moment!

Oh, there's the doorbell. You go and greet your next guest. I'll go mingle. Talk to you later.

keda said...

kerry are you still dancing? wow those shoes are deceptive- comfort and style*

singaporegrrl said...

Thank you dear, they have a time limit though, as most beautiful shoes do. These one allow me 3 hours of standing before cutting off circulation to the toes. you know how it is.

Jane said...

Thank you very much keda. Actually it leans more toward pink than purple but I did think it was flattering. It was a hard choice.

Oh Walt, could I have a sparkling cider, please?

Paste said...

After our last child was born, my wife told me we had to cut back on expenses and I'd have to give up drinking beer.
I wasn't really that big drinker anyway; maybe a 12-pack on weekends. Anyway, I gave it up but I noticed the other day, when she came home from grocery shopping, the receipt included £45 in makeup.I said, "Wait a minute I've given up beer, but you haven't given up anything!"She said, "I buy that makeup for you; so I can look pretty for you."I told her, "Hell, that's what the beer was for!"I don't think she'll be back.......

Dave said...

I laugh in the face of danger, campari and soda please!

keda said...

tragically yes. i have already had to have all my toes transplanted twice. for some reason the left foot is worse generally. sometimes i can lose up to 2 toes a night! bad quality pretty shoes are generall kinder than louboutin too i find sadly.

boys WAKE UP!

Jane said...

Oh my, the food here is to die for, isn't it. I need to get out on the dance floor and dance off some calories.
Anyone want to dance???

Paste said...

singaporegrrl said...

Oh dear, serious business this toe topic.

Tara said...

CyberKitten said...

Sorry.... Been chatting up Clara... When CQ comes back I'll have to ask for her number..

Paste said...

Jane - do u come ere often?

rashbre said...

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide? No escape from reality?

I couldnt drop into Craziequeen's without some appropriate lyrics and a bottle of Kristal.

Unfortunately the bottle opened itself on the way here and some of the liquid fell into my mouth.

Oh well easy come,easy go,
A little high,little low,
Anyway the wind blows, doesn’t really matter to me.

Paste said...

Jane - I fink u r butiful!

Jane said...

Psssst.....ck.....is it alright for me to dance with paste????? I am just a little concerned since I have never met him before. What do you think?

Paste said...

I heard that!

CyberKitten said...

At least he seems to have good taste..........

craziequeen said...

dawnie, baby - what can Walt get you?

ah rashers, a man after my own heart.....

and thank you for the Kristal [shakes half empty bottle]

singaporegrrl said...

Alright darlings, sorry to leave you, but I must slip back before the bosses notice. CQ thank you for a wonderful evening (late afternoon for me), lovely drinks and food and delightful company. Have a good evening. mwa mwa.

craziequeen said...

Juggling Mother said...

Hello! better late than never.... can i just grab a drink & sit & sew in th corner?

Weeelll, ok then, if you insist. Maybe a couple of drinks:-)

Dave said...

Ah Cyberkitten you return to the party, splendid. What do you think about the present political climate in the west and the undoubted issue of worldwide religious fundamentalism and its impact on everyday life?

Tara said...

Ooooh, do you gots Vodka and Red bull honey? And I must say you look very fetching in that red dress honey.

*Air Kisses*

Jane said...

Sorry paste....I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Forgive me?? This is my first time here, what about you?

Singaporegrrl, the crab thingies are marvelous and so are the stuffed mushrooms!

CyberKitten said...

OldOldLady Of The Hills said...

Enjoy the garden and we'll have a little drink when you come in.....

Juggling Mother said...

Ahhh, just in time for the drunken political rants. what fun;-)

I think we should set CK on Simon & sit back & watch.

or is Simon boycotting this lascivious, alcohol crazed den of iniquity?

Tara said...

*IS still waiting on her drink*

*Looks forlornly round at everyone*

Paste said...

Simon, god elp us!

Juggling Mother said...

Paste, that was probably the worst pun i've ever heard.

it was a pun wasn't it? *looks worried*

craziequeen said...

Dawn! I didn't see you there.... I'm so sorry.....

Walt! Vodka and Red Bull for the young lady - and keep em coming [wink]

Jane said...

Paste said...

Jane said...

No, you can't slip in. We are all watching the door to see who comes in next!

rashbre said...

The buffet is splendid. I love the indonesian spicy things.

craziequeen said...

oh - so THAT is Cheeks.....well, that explains a lot! :-)

and no, Paste - I doubt very much if Simon would be here, I don't think he wholly approves of me....

Dave said...

So Cyberkitten, you are ignoring me, I vill ave to talk to M!

Tara said...

*Slips a 20 to Walt...meet me in the arbor in an hour ... NO buts ands or ifs!*

Juggling Mother said...

thank you, rashers, a little recipe we picked up while travelling, you know....

ck! leave the maid alone!

Jane said...

Paste, are you OK? You are looking a little green around the gills.
Maybe you should get some fresh air???

CyberKitten said...

Sorry dave... I was, as always, distracted by a vision of lovelines... It's a failing of mine...

CyberKitten said...

Sorry CQ... Just admiring the help........

craziequeen said...

Excellent idea, Jane.....why don't you show him to the arbour??

It's in the big garden, down the path, past two fountains, left at the stables.....

Juggling Mother said...

CK - anything in a skirt is a vision of lovliness to you;-)

Actually, i think the skirt may be optional......

OldOldLady Of The Hills said...

I would help you Mrs. A, but I'm a very very BAD sewer! That's quite a project you've undertakem.. Can I bring you a Vodka Tonic? Or A Large glass of Gin? It might make the sewing go faster, you know?

Where's that Birthday Boy, Cyberkitten? Is he off making a pass at someone??? (lol)

It isn't a party withouit a fw 'passes', is it?

craziequeen said...

Naomi, I'm sorry to say ck has his eye on my maid........

[shakes head]

more drinks anyone?

rashbre said...

keda wanted some different music - I've broght a couple of tracks from my friends The Mad. It is a bit loud though.

Juggling Mother said...

Maybe a large glass of vodka would help a little thanks;-) I like it straight up with ice, but only the expemsive kind!

If you're lucky, I might show you my drinking trick later. has anyone seen it before? it's ever so good.

honest!

CyberKitten said...

I have standards Mrs A... OK, they *are* pretty low... but they are mine...

Hey, Naomi.... just watching the floor show.... [sigh].

OldOldLady Of The Hills said...

Oh That Cyberkitten...such a typical male thing to do....Put the moves on the maid! Too easy, CK! Where are the little cucumber sandwiches? Are they next to the Crab Cakes or am I seeing things?

Juggling Mother said...

Well, it was good enough to get me free drinks across the world when I was 18 & bumming my way around.

Or maybe it was because I was 18? How deressing!

Jane said...

Come on Paste....I'll show you to the Arbor. I think it will be nice. You'll feel better.
Clara, could I get a cup of coffee for Paste?

CyberKitten said...

What can I say... I have a 'thing' about the hired help.... and she *is* cute.. you have to admit that....?

craziequeen said...

Next time, Clara will be wearing a more modest outfit, you can be sure.....

Mrs A - we love drinking tricks - don't we, paste??

rashbre said...

Just upping the tempo, but trying not to interest the local constabulary. its a fine balance

Juggling Mother said...

Well, the skirt is certainly short. i'll admit that...

OldOldLady Of The Hills said...

Mts. A.. Your Drinking trick? NO! And I'd LOVE to see that!

Another Vodka for Mrs. A. Walt...

(Walt is very cute, CQ.? Does he travel well?)

CyberKitten said...

She *does* have the legs to carry it off too........ Must be all that walking and carrying trays....

rashbre said...

Woah Clara - nice top (if you know what I mean)

craziequeen said...

rashers, don't worry about the local cops - I have them right here [taps derriere].....a little beer at their Christmas party and they're happy!

Clara! Stop winking at ck and get Miss Jane that coffee for paste....now where did that man go!

CyberKitten said...

I noticed that too rashbre....

Juggling Mother said...

Ok. One pint glass (empty) upside down.

One pint glass (full of ale or cider - not lager) upside down next to it.

You have to down the pint, out of the upside down glass, but you can only touch that glass with your head.

now, off you all go & have a little practise.

i'll give you the answer tomorrow

LOL

rashbre said...

Get a bottle of Sambuca. Pour loads in your mouth. Lick your lips so that you have Sambuca on them. Turn the lights off. Put your head right back so pointing up. Light your mouth. This trick usually involves lots of sambuca being sprayed across the room as the recipient realises that they're actually on fire.

WendyWings said...

Hello, I am so sorry I am so sorry I am late sweetie, I got caught up in a night shoot then simply had to go home and get some beauty sleep. Don't mind the film crew just pretend they are not here. They needed some extra footage for the dvd extended version. All a "day in the life" type stuff.
It is definitely time for champers and nibbly bits for me.

OldOldLady Of The Hills said...

Rashbre and Cyberkiten are fighting over Clara...

Has anyone seen Walt??

How are you tonight CQ? Having fun at your own party, I hope...
Where are the furries tonight?

Hug them for me, okay?

CyberKitten said...

That £50 note I slipped Clara was worth every penny.........

keda said...

Jane said...

Hi Wendy..good to see you...

Jane said...

Is that paste hiding behind the taffeta drapes????

craziequeen said...

The felines are tucked up in the stables.....dreaming of salmon and mousies, I'm sure.
