As this was my last day at work for a week or so, It's time to play!
In true blogger tradition this has been passed on to me by Oldoldlady! It has been edited it a tiny bit because it is Christmas....but, don't let that stop you from being as creative as your dear little heart desires....
RULES: If your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment here on my blog with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL CHRISTMAS MEMORY of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.
And, if you feel like it, when you're finished leaving your comment, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) with the memories people create....(isn't this fun?)
Oh my, I can't believe I'm doing this - considering my readership [closes eyes]....and as always, anything goes, my Crazies....
edit - wow....lots of boozy stories - do you guys know me or something!? Oh, and Neolithic; eric is gonna freak :-) [evil chuckle]
edit 2 - I am concerned at the amount of drink and sex in these memories....which could possibly suggest why I don't remember them!! :-) Bring it on!
edit 3 - doing well here! I have 'quality time' [snigger] with eric [rotflmao], the delish centaur [dribble], Dudley Moore [nurse!] and Jean-Luc Picard [falls off chair]! I have been a busy little queen! Oh, and Dak-Ind - I NEVER call mummies and daddies home......satisfaction guaranteed....actually, you could say the same about my memorable couplings! :-)
edit 4 - lots of lovely stories! Some made me sigh, some made me cry, some made me dream and some reduced me to helpless laughter. And this is where my Crazie Christmas Game is to begin.......watch this space on the 29th, and Crazies - your help will be needed on the 28th!

hi cq! am sure you'll remember the time we got so drunk at a christmas party, you kept singing carly simon's "you're so vain" over and over to every guy there. afterwards, you fell asleep slumped on the toilet where aginoth and mrs. a eventually found you. that's when you swore off eggnog altogether. lol! :)
Do you remember when you were 2, and climbed the tree, and it fell over on me?
That was funny.
Michele sent me to remind you about that time the two of us covered my house in so many twinkly fairylights and decorations we overloaded the local electrical substation and the whole neighbourhood was without power for 16 hours? Ooooh dear...

Oh I remember us going all over The Cotswolds togetrher from one pub to another...limiting our drinks to ONE in each Pub..Remember? And by the time we got to the 30th one, we were both Falling-Down-Drunk and singing Christmas Carol's at the top of our lungs, attracting ALL the Dogs of Henley-On Thames in earshot of our Voices..and then we stole that little motor boat and drunk as skunks we 'putted' all the way in to London!!! It's amazing we didn't drown! (LOL) Ahhh those were the days..whatever happened to those days CQ...Now it's just all Apple Juice and AA Meetings for us...
Merry Merry Christmas, my dear CQ!
Do you remember the time Old Uncle Frank, the uncle that always was a bit too tipsy on every holiday, decided to dress up as Santa and tried to go down the chimney to surprise all us kids. Surprise us he did, by getting so wedged into the chimney that the fire department had to haul his ass out by crane.
Michele sent me.
Remember that Christmas when we got evacuated to that crazy old Professors house in the country and you found that other world where it was always winter and NEVER Christmas so we kicked that witchs butt and then Father Christmas finally came back.
I wish we could go back. If you hadn't gotten drunk at Mr Beavers house and tried to make out with that centaur we probably would be allowed back but noooo you had to go and ruin it !
BTW I am here from Micheles and I am stealing this for my blog LOL
Oh, I remember last night when you came over to help me hide my Mom's purresent on the couch. She didn't like it too much, you can come read about it at my bloggie, I JUST posted it........
As it turns out CQ that wasn't the only Christmas we spent together..there was the year that you came toLos Angeles and we visited every movie studio on Christmas Eve Day, and then went to a party at Gladys Coopers house..Remember her? Well, she was pretty old then, but she welcomed us with open arms and you felt so at home you tore your cloths off and jumped into her pool, naked as a jaybird...and of all things Dudley Moore was in there naked, too...What a night you had with him!!! Meanwhile I was sitting at the bar getting drunk on Martini's along with another of your countrymen, Sean Connery, who just couldn;t keep his hands to himself, I'm happy to say...Now, THAT was a REAL Fabulous Christmas!
Ohhh, I fofgot to say..I'm here tonight..your Morning, from Michele, The Wonderful, and so happy to be here!
Do you remember the time you and I played sardines in that cupboard. There was just us two in there and the door got locked, and it was hours before it could be released. We had to find SOME way to pass the time! What a laugh when everyone found I'd locked the door myself!
oh CQ, i remember that christmas you offered to babysit my cranky child so that my husband and i could get some christmas shopping done. you called our cell phone before we got two blocks away and said to come back and get our horrible demon spawn... wait... that was THIS christmas!
Oh CQ, how many memorable Christmas memories I could share....
Shall we start with the year you decided it would be nice to invite EVERY child you had ever looked after to a party at your house, and all 376 turned up! Even Mstr A had trouble making himself heard in that ruckus. It would probably have been ok if you hadn't allowed them all to stay the night. When we turned up with the other parents the following morning HWMBO was a quivering wreck in the cupboard, your house needed 6 months structural repair work, and you spent Christmas day in hospital being treated for crush injuries after all the children "bundled" you.
Still, you did promise to do it again this year, didn't you?
OK - I wasn't going to comment on this, just let the thread run....
But Mrs A - yours made me cry :-)
Wonderful, thank you, darling.
cq
Thanks for your memory, CQ.
Do you remember the time we went to see Santa at the store, and you tried to pull his beard off?
You learnt a few words you hadn't heard before then!
PS: here via Michele!

Hi. I remember the time whenI was new to the bloggin community and you invited me over to your blog to celebrate Christmas. That was so much fun! I met so many interesting people and read your wonderful posts!
You noticed that I had been hanging around the blog for quite some time and offered me a glass of eggnog. I was invited into the VIP Santa room, and I got to see where all of the toys were made. You know I love snow globes, and you gave me one with Charlie Brown and his wonderful Christmas tree inside. I loved watching to snow fall in that globe. Happiness is mine, thanks to you!
And then there was the Christmas when you and I forgot to buy batteries for the your neice's toys, so we had to pilfer them from a "personal item" of my room mate's. Good times!
Remember when we ganged up together and nicked a heap of presents from under the Xmas tree in Gloucester town centre ? That was fun. We should do it again. Especially as we'll be old enough to be allowed to drive this time.
My brother and I were just talking about the Christmas that our family spend at your house and your mom wanted to light a fire in the fireplace even though it was about 50 degrees outside. She forgot to open the flue all the way and smoked us out of the living room. Then when the fire died down, your dad got the flue open all the way and stacked a bunch of pine logs on the fire, and we were looking out the window and kept seeing what looked like sparklers going by.
Then we realized that the chimney was on fire, and my brother got all upset not because the house was about to burn down, but because he thought santa might not be able to get down the chimney once the fire was out.
Remember the time we were staying next door to you and you and I found an open bottle of bubbly in the kitchen and drank nearly half of it before the grown ups realised why we were rolling about on the floor giggling. We were making christmas hats out of kitchen foil and glued glitter onto the hats with honey.
That was one happy sticky mess!
I forget the hangover but it must have been a good one.
Remember that Christmas, you, me and Michele went carol singing? Going from door to door, not quite in perfect harmony, but enough to earn us a few quid ...ok...a few pennies and some pocket lint. It was such a wonderful "Hallmark moment" when old Mr Brown chased us off down the garden path with his hedge trimmers screaming about "trespassing teenaged yobbos" and Mrs Johnson set her Jack Russell Terrier on us as we leapt over the garden gate. Well Michele and I managed to leap...you on the other hand...such a shame...still at least you managed to reach the high notes in some of those songs quite nicely after "Rover" sank his teeth into your butt. *sigh* memories!

I just stopped by to wish you a Merry Christmas! And boy, does that bring back memories. I remember it as if it were yesterday. Oh, but it was so many yesterdays ago.
I was finishing up my shift on Christmas Eve at the 7-Eleven in your neighborhood. You had come in to buy a cold bottle of Chablis, some scratch off cards, and couple packages of twinkies. I remember taking your money and giving you your change, which you stuffed in your pocket on your way out of the store.
It was just a few minutes later that I noticed it -- you had left your handbag behind. It was close to midnight and I was still in the store by myself, so I needed to wait for my replacement to arrive. In the mean time, I looked through the bag for clues to its owner's identity. There was a hairbrush -- that might come in handy if we needed to do any DNA searches, I joked to myself. And there it was, a wallet! I jotted down the address from the driver's license -- nice picture, I remember thinking -- and put the wallet back into the purse.
Just a minute later, the late shift arrived and it was time for me to go home. "Tag, you're it," I told him. "And Merry Christmas!" He grumbled something about the fact that it was just a few minutes before Christmas and he was stuck working. "I'm going to take off," I told him. "A woman left this handbag and I need to return it."
I left the store and got in my car. I took a look at the address and hoped I wouldn't have any trouble finding the place. I knew the street, and I'd probably driven by a hundred times. I was hoping you would be there, and not scouring the city in search of the handbag in my possession!
I arrived at the address I was looking for and knocked on the door. Nothing. Rats, I thought. What was I going to do?
"Hey," I heard from the street. You were getting out of a taxi and walking toward your door. "What are you doing with my..."
"Hi," I told you. "Remember me? Uisce from the 7-Eleven. I sold you that bottle of Chablis you're carrying."
"Of course I remember you. Thank you so much for tracking me down," you told me. "Won't you come inside?"
"Well, I don't want to intrude," I told you.
"Nonsense," you said. And remember how you tugged on my sleeve? I followed you into the apartment. "Just come in and have some of this wine."
"But isn't that for some special occasion?" I asked. "Aren't you on your way to a Christmas party or something?"
"Of course," you said with a smile. And you looked up. Mistletoe. You were puckered up and waiting for something. I gave you a kiss on your cheek and you just started giggling.
You took the bottle of wine and the twinkies out of the bag and handed the bottle to me. I opened it while you retrieved some glasses from the kitchen. I poured us each a bit of the wine. Remember how the glasses made that magically sound when we clinked the glasses together? You sat down on the couch and I sat down on the chair beside it.
I remember how we talked and talked for hours and hours. When it was time to leave, I told you how glad I was that we had met. I remarked how lucky we were that the fates had brought us together. I couldn't know then, could I, that it would be the beginning of such a wonderful friendship.
"Fate?" you replied. "Why do you think I left my handbag in your store?"
I gave you a big hug. Maybe it hadn't been a Christmas miracle, but it is one of my favorite Christmas memories.
Do you remember the time that Santa phoned us and said he was too ill? I had to put on my fatsuit and beard. We both went off on the sleigh, with you dropping the presents while I steered.
I wish I'd gone to reindeer driving school!
Merry Christmas to you & your family!
Remember that Christmas when we were both working at Hooters in Daytona? We both got invited to that party at Michele's place. By the time I got there, you were about 3 tequila shots and a few beers in and you were on the table in the kitchen singling along to 'Dancing Queen' at the top of your lungs. Later that same night you insisted on skinny dipping in the ocean! You're nuts. Ahhh, those were the days.
(BTW, i'm at atpanda.blog.com)
Remember that Christams when we were little and none of the crackers worked? I was so sad, I started crying. But you sat down and managed to 'fix' one of the crackers to go off using the other 11. We each took an end and pulled. It took me two weeks to totally regrow my eyelashes and eyebrows, but it was worth it. You were my hero that Christmas.
Do you remember that Christmas when we were in college, and for some unknown reason I can't remember now, we were stuck there and couldn't get home. We decided to go to a bar and flirt with every single guy there just for fun? We ended up in a drinking contest of "who can drink the most shots" and the next morning we woke up and each had a husband? These stars today have NOTHING on us! I believe we were the first to have a marriage end in less than 24 hours! What best friends go through together!
Oh crazie dear, do you remember the time when we decided to wrap all those presents after drinking chocolate martinis? We started out ok, the presents looked rather good in the beginning. But by the time we had our third chocolate martini the packages were getting alittle lopsided and the bows weren't so straight. By the time we were on the fifth martini, shoot we were lucky if the present got in the package BEFORE it got wrapped, well....if you call what we were doing wrapping!!! Those were the ugliest packages I have ever seen! I was soooo embarrassed when I had to take those packages to the orphange the next morning.
Good Times.....Good times!!! ;)
Oops, here via Michelles.....
Dang Martinis!!!
I can't remember that time, but when you told me all about it I blushed and blushed. Did that really happen??? I can't believe I'd do such a thing. You, maybe. But not me!
Merry Christmas Purrs!
