Bring Out Your Dead!

OK, my lurgy has crystallised into sinusitis, luckily only mild at the moment. I just feel like a tennis ball has smashed into my face.......this time tomorrow it'll probably be a football....
Just debating whether I am going to be able to drive to Yeovil tomorrow.....

Dosed up with Sudafed. By the time I go to bed it will have worn off and I can dose myself up with paracetamol.
I have Karvol (whoever invented that should be canonised!!) and Strepsils (cos my throat is still sore) and lozenges.
If it gets too bad I have Tiger Balm White........

Never heard of it? Tiger Balm is a mystical herbal remedy from China.....no honest, it is! They still keep one ingredient off the list so it can't be replicated, and the recipe is top secret.

Doesn't it sound just MAGICAL?

well, it is........I use White for my fibrositis. My mum uses it for post herpetic neuralgia (the pain after shingles), it's excellent for sinusitis (as long as you never put it UNDER your nose!)
It's deeply soothing and the wonderful aroma of eucalyptus, camphor and cloves is SO relaxing.......I guess you could even put it in your bath. I used to swear by it for menstrual cramps, I use it on tired muscles and on my damaged knee cartilage - I even use it on my achilles tendons!
It's excellent as a chest rub, and if you dab a bit on your upper chest when you have a cold, you get that wonderful herby aroma all day long.......

Warning, be careful with Tiger Balm Red. It is much more stringent and if you have sensitive skin, don't even try it!

Woweeee! It sounds like you are having a bad time..sorry to hear that. And I dearly hope your sinusitus gets better very very fast....

I have tried Tigar Balm, but even the White was not great on my skin...caused more pain than not, so I couldn't use it anymore...that was years and years ago..but I haven't thrown it out because I keep hoping my body chemistry will change, or something, because I know sooo many people who swear by it, and now that number includes you...but so far, 'Wishing Won't Make It So'....(lol)

Hmmmm...I have problems with missing ingredients from "Herbal" Remedies...especially with the current investigation into using Prescription only Steroids in imported Chinese Medicines by Trading Standards, several hundred shops are being investigated.

Have a really bad reaction to it - and I echo Mrs A's comment - are we sure the mysterious ingredient isn't Tiger bone/ Tiger bodily fluid of some kind???

Is my comment going to show later on? I don't see it, I wanted to add : get well soon!

it's gone! ok, I wanted to tell you that my husband used it once during a ski vacation right before dinner... 8 people couldn't eat dinner afterwards because the air was too "herbal". No , he didn't take a bath with it, but everything smelled like it. It is not allowed at home anymore. But he has other Austrian stuff just as bad... should find the link to it.

CQ:> It's fabbo - want to rub some on my chest, eric?

LOL, two questions:

1. Does the hubby carry a gun?

2. If I said yes, how fast would I have to run?

[chuckle]

[chuckle]

no gun....... :-)

and as for how fast you would have to run, does he have anything to fear from an 104yr of Brummie?

Not a chance! My shopping buggy has four-wheel drive, silver rims and full MOT on it.

With gear like that, who should I fear? :D
