Sleepy Cinema

I have a failing.....

I sleep in the cinema.......

a lot........

I slept through Harry Potter (not a loss, some would say!), I slept through all three Lord of the Rings movies, the list goes on.....

In fact, my sleeping through films is legendary with my crazies and even people at work! I usually use cyberkitten as a pillow.

The legend lives on - tonight I slept through The Constant Gardener. My defence was it was incredibly slow and boring.

rca reckons that it is a perfect way to ward off Ugly Monster - go to a movie and fall asleep.

I blame the cinema. They have the aircon on full and it's usually freezing in there. And, of course, I blame the films. No blame can be apportioned to my condition or my hypersomnia.

hmm - what can I sleep through next?? [checks listings]

You slept through LOTR??! Blashphemy!!! :-)

I'm a movie freak and the only way I can sleep through a movie is if I've been up for 24+ hrs. I also study movies (one day I'll be a rich and famous movie director!), so if one is boring, you can bet I'll be writing a thesis on it...in my head of course :-)

I love that you sleep through movies...I do sometimes on TV...in fact I have created some tapes that I call my sleep tapes, just so I can sleep...they are good films, and I find them relaxing...and then just go off to zzzzzzzzzzzzland.

That's what F1 racing is for..

vrooom....vrooom...vrooom...zzzz....zzzz

However tired I am, & however bad the film is I REFUSE to sleep in the cinema. I've paid a fortune to sit in an uncomfortable dirty chair, either too hot or too cold, with idiots chatting behind me & the last mohican hairstyle in West England sat infront of me, watching a grainy picture & ilistening to incorrectly aligned sound , and I am damn well going to get my money's worth!

I liked the film - it was gentle, thought provoking, had hidden depths and is a break from the normal action rubbish we go to see a lot...

And you looked so cute while you were sleeping, your little nose all curled up, big thick scarf wrapped round you ...aaaaahhhhh

And yeah - find the longest film on at the cinema each week, take a friend or 2 and go grab some kip in a big comy chair while we get our kicks from the film :-)

And as for blaming the film - you slept through LOTR - how I'm still talking to you I don't know...

In my defence, I haven't slept through a film in ages... :-)

Mrs A - Any motor racing gets me zzzing in no time - vroom, vroom.....

OOL - I am terrible for falling asleep in front of the telly, my hyersomnia kicking in! I even make myself comfy and nestle into my chair to aid restful sleep!

I slept through Dune. It never happens that often, but there have been a couple of supposedly good movies that didn't manage to keep me awake. I think it might have to do with our comfortable couch.
